Honors for 2018 SLIAC Women's Tennis Season

The 2018 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis All-Conference teams and awards winners have been voted on and include Monica Behrle, David Dyson, and Emma Wieland taking home top individual honors.

Monica Behrle, a senior from Webster University, is the 2018 SLIAC Player of the Year. She becomes just the third player in program history to receive the conference's top individual award and the first to do so since 2014. Behrle went undefeated in conference play this season in both singles and doubles action, combining for a 10-0 record. She was 18-5 overall in singles this season while adding 15 more wins in doubles. She finishes her career as Webster's career leader in singles and doubles wins.

Emma Wieland is this year's Newcomer of the Year after playing #2 singles for Greenville University this spring. Wieland recorded two conference wins in singles and added another win in doubles play. She is the first Panther to receive the award since 2013.

The 2018 SLIAC Coach of the Year is David Dyson. Dyson led Westminster College to a 4-1 conference record, good for second in the SLIAC while totaling an 8-3 overall record. He guided the Blue Jays to the championship match of the conference tournament just one year after the team finished in 5th place. This is Coach Dyson's third time winning the award.
