Greenville Women's Track & Field Earns Academic Honors

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its 2013 Division III All-Academic Track & Field teams and the Greenville College women's outdoor track and field team ranked sixth with an overall grade point average of 3.543.

A total of 148 institutions earned the distinction as a result of earning a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or higher.

Pomona Pitzer was the top team in Division III with a cumulative 3.686 mark, followed by George Fox at 3.655 and Washington (Mo.) at 3.579.

Among conferences, the MIAC boasted the largest number of All-Academic Teams with nine. The Northwest Conference was second with eight while the NEWMAC, NESCAC and WIAC were each represented by seven apiece.

Greenville College was joined by Principia College as the two members of the SLIAC represented.
