Trio of SLIAC Programs Earn USTFCCCA Academic Honors

Scholar Team of the Year and All-Academic Team honors for the 2014-15 NCAA Division III Track & Field season were announced Friday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and a trio of St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) teams, Greenville College, Principia College, and Webster University, were among those honored.

The Greenville College, Principia College, and Webster University women's track and field teams received All-Academic Team honors for the 2015 NCAA Division III season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). 

Greenville finished with a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.34 while Principia compiled a 3.59 gpa and Webster had a cumulative 3.39 grade point average. A total of 170 women's teams nationally qualified by earning a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or higher for the academic year. 

The USTFCCCA also awards individual All-Academic honors.  To qualify, an individual also must finish in the top 35 for the year in the NCAA III, in time or distance in their particular event, to be a USTFCCCA Scholar.
