Hunstein Named Blackburn Volleyball Head Coach

Jim Hunstein has been named Head Volleyball Coach at Blackburn College.  Hunstein comes to Blackburn after a successful tenure as Head Coach at Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey, Illinois.  Hunstein's 2015 team finished with a record of 23-16, the 23 wins were more than the previous two seasons combined.  He also served as women's tennis coach at Lewis & Clark and his 2016 team recently finished 20th in the nation at the national tournament in Tyler, Texas.

Prior to Lewis & Clark, Hunstein was an assistant coach at Washington University in St. Louis from 2009-2012.  In 2009 Washington University won the NCAA Division III National Title.  Then in 2010, the Bears finished as national semi-finalists.

Before coming to Washington University, Hunstein was an assistant coach at MICDS High School in St. Louis from 2005-2008.  

Hunstein has been heavily involved in coaching club volleyball in the St. Louis area, running the Parkway Lightning and H2 St. Louis Volleyball programs.  Hunstein has attended numerous clinics across the country.  

Hunstein is a 1979 graduate of Tulsa University and a native of Glendale, Missouri.
