Koryzna To Take Over Westminster Volleyball Program

Director of Athletics Tracey Braden has announced the hiring of Natalia Koryzna for the position of Head Volleyball Coach at Westminster.

We are excited to have Natalia take over our volleyball program," said Braden. "She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will continue to grow a solid program. Her energy and excitement about the sport is infectious and we believe our young women will thrive under her leadership."

Koryzna comes to Westminster with a wealth of volleyball experience as a player and coach, at both the high school and collegiate levels. Most recently, she served as the Head Volleyball Coach at Battle High School since May of 2016.

"I'm excited for the opportunity to be leading the Westminster volleyball program," said Koryzna. "I look forward to creating a positive culture and continue building a successful program."

Prior to her time at Battle, Koryzna worked stints with the Volleyball Pro Academy and USA Volleyball.

Her collegiate coaching experience includes coaching as an assistant for a year at Stephens College during the 2015 season, NCAA Division II University of Missouri-St. Louis during the 2014 season, and NCAA Division II Dowling College in New York during the 2009 season.

While coaching at Dowling, the Golden Lions were nationally ranked, as well as East Coast Conference regular season champions and NCAA DII regional champions in 2009 and 2010.

Along with her extensive college experience, Koryzna has been the head coach and club director for multiple club teams.

Before she began her coaching career, Koryzna played professional beach volleyball from 2003-06 and played professional indoor volleyball in Poland from 2002-06.

Koryzna played her college career at NCAA Division II Dowling College in Oakdale, New York. Her team finished fifth in the national tournament in 2005 and 2006.

She earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Dowling in 2007, and went on to earn a Postgraduate Certificate Management: Concentration in Psychology in Management from Humaitas University in Poland. In 2011, she earned her Master's in Business Administration from Dowling.
