Women's Cross Country Regionals Cap Season

MIDWEST REGION RESULTS 

This weekend NCAA Division III held Women's Cross Country Regionals, capping the running season for St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams. SLIAC teams competed across two regionals, the Great Lakes Regional in Terre Haute, Ind. and the Midwest Regional, held in Rock Island, Ill.

Greenville College was the top finishing SLIAC team in the Midwest Regional, placing 27th with 789 total points. Westminster College placed 30th with 917 points and Webster University finished 32nd with 971 points. Principia College finished 35th with 1047 points and Fontbonne University rounded out the team scores with a 37th place finish with 1094 points. Washington University-St. Louis won the event with a team score of 68 points.

Brooke Goodyear, from Greenville, was the top SLIAC finisher; placing 116th with a time of 23:45. She was followed by Fontbonne's Olivia Beggs, who placed 137th with a time of 24:11 and Westminster's Brier Skogsberg, who placed 139th with a time of 24:12. Kyla Pelletier paced Principia with a time of 24:28, placing 155th overall. Webster was led by Holly Goergen's 158th place finish, completing the course in 24:30 while teammate and SLIAC Champion Valerie Martin finished 186th with a time of 25:08. Lucy Ramquiest, of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, claimed the individual title with a time of 21:16. 

Spalding University finished 33rd in the Great Lakes Regional field, with 893 team points. The Golden Eagles were paced by Kayla Payne, who finished with a time of 24:44; placing 119th overall. Hope won the event with 112 team points while Calvin's Lauren Strohbehn took the individual title with a time of 21:46.
