Greenville Leads SLIAC Teams In Regionals

Greenville University led all SLIAC teams this weekend during the women's cross country regional meets.

Greenville finished 27th overall at the Midwest Regionals, one place ahead of Webster University who won the 2017 SLIAC Championship. The Panthers' Lia Kruse was the top finisher for the team, placing 66th overall with a time of 22:35. 

Webster took 28th overall with 721 points as Holly Goergen was the top Gorlok finisher, taking 99th overall with a time of 23:08. 

Principia College finished 34th overall with Allegra Pierce leading the way with a 162nd place finish and Fontbonne finished 37th overall and was led by Sarah Rhoads' 233rd place finish. 

Two-time defending SLIAC individual champion Jessica Kuykendall was the top finisher among conference runners, finishing 56th overall with a time of 22:21. 

In the Great Lakes Region, Spalding finished 34th out of 35 teams, totaling 1032 points. The Golden Eagles were led by Kelsey Phillips' 114th place finish, with a time of 24:53.
