Bio
Walter Schoenke was the first Commissioner of the SLIAC, serving from its founding in 1989 until 1993. As a longtime executive in the Astro-Turf Division of Monsanto Chemical Company, he brought a wealth of experience in athletics to the leadership of the conference.
