Fontbonne's Dan Lisch to Serve on National DIII SAAC

ST. LOUIS - Fontbonne University junior guard Dan Lisch has been named to the NCAA D-III National Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) to represent the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) and Ohio Athletic Conference.

"Fontbonne University is proud of Daniel Lisch for stepping up to serve as a voice for not only the student-athletes of the SLIAC and the Ohio Athletic Conference, but a voice for all Division III student-athletes," Fontbonne University Director of Athletics Maria Eftink said. "Daniel embodies everything that the NCAA expects student-athletes to represent and I am confident that he will do a wonderful job of representing his peers and our two conferences."

The NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a select group of 24 student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses. Nearly all NCAA Division III committees include at least one representative from the National SAAC as a voting member.

SAAC strives to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity for all student-athletes; protecting student- athlete well-being; and fostering a positive student-athlete image, while maintaining the tenants of the Division III philosophy.

"Dan Lisch will be a tremendous representative of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and our partner conference, the Ohio Athletic Conference, on the National SAAC," SLIAC Commissioner William J. Wolper said. "Across Division III, the student-athlete's overall educational experience is first and foremost. Dan is now in position to ensure that value holds true. I look forward to working with him in his role as our National SAAC representative as he serves as the national voice for our student-athletes."
