Former Fontbonne Coach and AD Honored by St. Louis Hall of Fame

ST. LOUIS - Former Fontbonne University athletic director and head men's basketball coach Lee McKinney, was honor by the St. Louis Hall of Fame late last month at their annual awards dinner at the Millennium Hotel in downtown St. Louis.

The St. Louis Hall of Fame awarded Coach McKinney the Metro Legends Award. Coach McKinney's wife, June, accepted the award on behalf of the McKinney family. Several former Fontbonne players, family and friends attended the event. Coach McKinney was honored alongside St. Louis greats like Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt, Garry Unger, Lenny Wilkens and Scotty Bowman.

Coach McKinney spent more than 23 years as Fontbonne's athletic director and head men's basketball coach. He passed away last spring after his third battle with cancer.
