SLIAC Releases 2013-14 Basketball Schedules

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has released their 2013-14 Men's and Women's Basketball schedules. 

This season marks the 24th season the SLIAC will be competing in NCAA Division III basketball. The SLIAC consists of 10 schools, throughout four states, and includes Blackburn College, Eureka College, Fontbonne University, Greenville College, Iowa Wesleyan College, MacMurray College, Principia College, Spalding University, Webster University and Westminster College.

The SLIAC will continue with their traditional basketball double headers during conference play with the women tipping off prior to the men's games.

On the men's side the 2013-14 season starts on November 9th when MacMurray takes on Millikin University on the road and things then kick into action the following weekend when all ten teams are in action. SLIAC conference play starts on December 4th with a slate of four games and will culminate with the 2014 SLIAC Men's Basketball Tournament on Feb. 27th and March 1st. Spalding is the defending SLIAC Champion and will open on November 15th in the Birmingham Classic.

The women's basketball season begins on November 5th when MacMurray opens against Lincoln Trail College. The weekend of November 15-16 will see seven teams on the schedule including action in a pair of Tournaments. December 4th marks the conference opening weekend for the SLIAC weekend as they will be battling their way to the 2014 SLIAC Women's Basketball Tournament which will be played Feb. 28th and March 1st. Westminster is the three time defending SLIAC Champion and opens their title defense on November 15th in the Elmhurst Tip Off Tournament.
