SLIAC Players of the Week - Nov. 25

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced the Players of the Week for November 25th. This week's winners are Ron Harris, men's basketball player from Greenville College, and Ciara Morgan, women's basketball player from Blackburn College.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Ron Harris, Greenville College

Harris, a junior forward from Los Angeles, California, was the leading scorer in a pair of Greenville wins last week. Harris netted 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting in an 82-62 win over Lincoln Christian. He added 10 rebounds in the game, including four offensive rebounds. Harris followed with a 20 point, seven rebound game in a 93-65 win over Dominican (Ill.). For the week Harris averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game while shooting 59-percent from the field.

 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Ciara Morgan, Blackburn College

Morgan, a junior forward from Springfield, Illinois, helped Blackburn secure their first win of the season, a 68-67 victory over Augustana. Morgan was the game's leading scorer with 25 points including three three-pointers, while adding nine rebounds, four assists and eight steals. In the win Morgan gave the Beavers the lead with six second remaining on a free-throw. She sealed the win by stealing the ball as time expired to prevent a last second shot attempt. Earlier in the week Morgan tallied 13 points, seven rebounds five steals in a loss to Central (Iowa). On the week Morgan averaged 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 6.5 steals per game.
