Spalding President to
be Keynote Speaker at NCAA Convention (December 12,
2013)
A former Division III student-athlete who became the first woman
to row solo across the Atlantic Ocean and one of the first
two women to ski cross country to the South Pole will be the
keynote speaker for the Division III business session at the 2014

AROUND THE SLIAC
You can follow the Blackburn College Women's Basketball Team online as they travel to Linfield College over the Christmas Break. The Beavers will take on the the Wildcats of Linfield College on Sunday, December 29 at 6:00 p.m. Central time. Live Stats link HERE |
Eureka women's basketball senior Caty Eeten is the SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. Eeten averaged 22.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists over three games last week. It marks the 10th time in her career she has earned the honor. |

The Greenville women's basketball team continues their extended
break until Jan. 7 when they will face Eureka on the road.
Greenville's last game was Dec. 14 against Calumet College in the
MacMurray Tournament. The Panthers men's team is back in action on
Jan. 3 against Loras, resuming play for the first time since Dec.
7. |
The spring seasons are just around the corner. This week Iowa
Wesleyan talked with Head Softball Coach Mike Hampton. To watch the

The MacMurray men's basketball team will look to snap a two game
losing streak when they face Dallas on Dec. 29 at 3 p.m. They
return to conference action on Jan. 7 against Westminster. The
women's team is on break until Jan. 7 when they face Westminster at
6 p.m. |
The Principia women's basketball team is 2-2 over their last four
games. They return to action next week on Jan. 7 when they host
Webster University at 6 p.m. The men's team is back in action on
Jan. 4 when they host Loras College at 3 p.m. |
After a slow start the Spalding men's basketball team has picked up their play, winning four straight games including a pair of conference contests against Principia and Iowa Wesleyan. Spalding off until January 4 when they host Fontbonne University in a SLIAC match-up. |
Webster University announced their Hall of Fame class for 2014. It
includes former women's soccer student-athlete Angela Martinez,
former baseball student-athlete Brett Mueller, former softball
student-athlete Gail Vogt and staff member Sue McClintock. For the

Westminster men's basketball senior guard Joe James earned SLIAC
Player of the Week honors this week after leading his team to an
83-65 win over Eureka. In the win James scored a game high 20
points, including 12 of his team's first 14 points of the game to
spark the Blue Jays to the win. |
