SLIAC Players of the Week - Jan. 5
The Eureka College basketball programs have swept the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Players of the Week awards as Greg Kent and Kelsey Shoemake took home the weekly conference honors.

SLIAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK Greg Kent, a junior guard from Chicago, Ill., is this week's SLIAC Player of the Week after recording a triple-double against Monmouth and then helping the Red Devils knock off Webster in a conference game. Kent finished with 10 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists in a narrow 90-86 loss to Monmouth, marking the first Red Devil triple-double since 2010. Kent was instrumental in his team's win over Webster, finishing with 15 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Against Webster, Kent gave his team the lead for good when he scored four straight points mid-way through the second-half. On the week Kent averaged 12.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 3.0 steals per game while shooting 57.9 percent from the field. |

SLIAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK Kelsey Shoemake, a senior forward from Groveland, Ill., is the SLIAC Player of the Week after recording a pair of double-doubles and holding her own against Division I for Western Illinois. Shoemake was limited to just six points against Western Illinois but stepped up the rest of her game grabbing 10 rebounds and adding four blocked shots. Shoemake netted 33 points with 14 rebounds against North Central and returned to conference action with a 21 point, 18 rebound game in a win over Webster. On the week Shoemake averaged 20.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 2.7 blocks per game. |

- Jared Greenlee, Fontbonne University (Men's Basketball) Greenlee recorded back to back double-doubles in wins over Nazareth and Blackburn, highlighted by 14 points and 15 rebounds against Nazareth.
- Aaron Griffin, Webster University (Men's Basketball) Griffin recorded a double-double against Eureka, finishing with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
- Kayla Styles, Spalding University (Women's Basketball) Styles was a force in her team's win over Principia finishing the game with 20 points, eight rebounds, six assists, five blocks, and four steals.
