SLIAC Players of the Week - Dec. 1
This week's SLIAC Players of the Week are Hunter Ward, from Webster University, and Emmie Haring, from Fontbonne University.
SLIAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK Ward, a sophomore guard from St. Louis, Mo., helped the Gorloks to a pair of wins on the week including keying a come from behind victory over Loras. Trailing 72-56 with just over three-minutes left in the game Ward knocked down three consecutive three-pointers in a 31-second span to spark the Gorloks. Ward knocked down a fourth three-pointer with 17-seconds left to tie the game, with Webster eventually winning in overtime. He finished the game with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Earlier in the week he recorded another double-double in a conference win over MacMurray. On the week Ward averaged 16.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game while shooting 47.8-percent from the field with nine total three-pointers. |

SLIAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK Haring, a sophomore guard from Ballwin, Mo., helped the Griffins to a 93-88 win over Knox. Haring was in the giving mood, finishing the game with 12 assists; tying the program record for assists in a game. Haring accounted for 34 of the Griffins points as she added 10 points herself on 4-of-7 shooting while also grabbing six rebounds and adding three steals. |

- Ashley Brooks, Webster University (Women's Basketball) Brooks recorded a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds while adding six assists in a win over MacMurray.
