The Griffins are two games back now for the final spot and will face first place Spalding on Saturday and then one of the teams they are chasing, fourth place Greenville next Wednesday.

The Greenville women's basketball team has dropped two straight and will need to improve their road play if they want to break the losing streak. The Panthers are 6-4 at home this season but just 1-5 on the road. The Panthers next two games will be at Blackburn and at Westminster. Greenville is currently 7-9 overall and 4-6 in the SLIAC.

Webster has won three straight games; defeating Fontbonne, Blackburn, and Westminster. The Gorloks have acheived this despite the loss of leading scorer Ahmad Smith due to injury.
The Blue Jays women's basketball team has taken over second place in the SLIAC standings thanks to a four game winning streak. The Blue Jays have taken down Fontbonne, Webster, Central Christian, and Principia in order and are currently 11-5 overall and 9-2 in the conference.
