SLIAC Players of the Week - September 21
This week's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Players of the Week are: Olivia Beggs, Alisa Coralic, Ian Hodge, Kersten McDonough, Gaby Medrano, Tripp Sheehan, and Maddie Stadler.

SLIAC WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK Beggs, a junior from Frankfort, Ill., is this week's SLIAC Women's Cross Country Player of the Week. Beggs competed in the 5k National Catholic Invitational hosted by the University of Notre Dame. In a field of nearly 300 runners, including runners from all divisions, Beggs was the top SLIAC finisher, completing the course with a time of 20:30. Her time was a personal best and the fourth best in program history.

SLIAC MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK (OFFENSIVE) Sheehan, a junior from Columbia, Mo., was key in helping his team go 3-0 on the week, assisting on five of his team's seven goals on the week. Sheehan set up two goals in his team's 3-2 win over Central (Iowa). He followed by assisting on the game winning goal in a 1-0 win over Simpson. Sheehan concluded his week with two more assists, including the game-winner, in a 3-2 win over Augustana (Ill.). On the week Sheehan finished with five assists in three games. Sheehan now leads the SLIAC in assists as Westminster extended their active winning streak to six games. |

SLIAC MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK (DEFENSIVE) Hodge, a freshman from Pleasant Hill, Mo., put together back to back shutouts last week. Hodge's only loss on the week was a 2-1 decision against Illinois College in which one of two goals allowed was on a penalty kick. He made a week high of six saves in the contest. Hodge blanked Rhodes with a five save performance and extended his scoreless net-minding streak with a 1-0 shutout overtime win over Hendrix, making three saves. In three games on the week Hodge totaled 14 saves on 16 shots on goal, an .875 save percentage. |

SLIAC WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK (OFFENSIVE) Medrano, a freshman midfielder from New Braunfels, Texas, played a pivotal role in her team's win over North Central last week. Medrano tallied a goal and an assist in her team's 3-2 win, helping end North Central's five game winning streak. Medrano put Webster on the board at the 30-minute mark and then assisted on the game tying goal just seven minutes later. Medrano's goal came on her only shot of the week. |

SLIAC WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK (DEFENSIVE) Coralic, a freshman from St. Louis, Mo., persevered in net and helped her team stop North Central's five game winning streak. After falling behind 2-0 against North Central Coralic and the Gorloks rebounded for a 3-2 win. Coralic stopped all three shots on goal in the second-half, blanking North Central for the final 75-minutes of the game. Coralic improves to 3-0 in the net with a 1.43 goals-against average this year. |

SLIAC VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK (OFFENSIVE) McDonough, a junior outside hitter from Pacific, Mo., powered her team to three wins in four matches last week. McDonough averaged 4.4 kills per set with three matches of at least 19 kills. She began the week with 19 kills and three total blocks against Iowa Wesleyan, accounting for 23 points in the match. She followed with 20 kills in a five set loss to Lincoln Christian while finishing with eight kills and just two errors in a sweep of Blackburn. She closed out the week with 19 kills in a sweep of MacMurray. On the week McDonough hit .263 with 66 kills and seven total blocks; averaging 4.9 points per set. |

SLIAC VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK (DEFENSIVE) Stadler, a junior from St. Louis, Mo., was an effective defensive stopper for Fontbonne last week in helping her team notch three conference wins. Stadler recorded at least 20 digs in three of her four matches, missing a fourth by just one dig. She had a week high of 28 digs in a win over Iowa Wesleyan, adding four service aces. On the week Stadler averaged 6.27 digs per set, totaling 94 digs in 15 sets. |

- Cierra Howard, Iowa Wesleyan College (Volleyball) Howard recorded double digit digs in all four of her matches last week including three matches with at least 20 digs. Howard added seven aces on the week.
- Jonny Madrid, Greenville College (Men's Soccer) Madrid netted two goals in his team's three games including the game-winner against Rhodes.
- Lexa Mahr, Iowa Wesleyan College (Volleyball) Mahr was impressive in her team's match against Principia, finishing with 19 kills, 23 assists, and 27 digs.
- Hannah Marshall, Westminster College (Volleyball) Marshall finished with 21 kills in a five set win over Rose-Hulman.
- Allyson Mitchell, Greenville College (Volleyball) Mitchell was nearly unstoppable in her team's win over Spalding, finishing with 11 kills and no errors on 20 attackes. She added six service aces in the match and finished with 12 aces in three matches last week.
- Tony Prospero, Fontbonne University (Men's Cross Country) Prospero cut over 30 seconds off his personal best time, finishing the 8k course at Notre Dame in a time of 34:07.
- Bridget Ringwald, Westminster College (Volleyball) Ringwald recorded 30 digs in a five set loss to Principia, averaging 6.0 digs per set while adding two service aces.
- Jamie Schollenbruch, Greenville College (Volleyball) Schollenbruch totaled 67 digs in just 12 sets last week, averaging 5.58 per set. She had a high of 32 digs in a 3-1 win over Principia.
