Westminster Men's Soccer NCAA Tournament Bound for Third Consecutive Year (November 7, 2015)

Westminster Women's Soccer Claims First Title In Program History (November 8, 2015)

Greenville Headed to National Tournament After Come Back (November 8, 2015)
The 2015 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship came down to a battle between the two top seeded teams in the tournament, #1 Greenville College and #2 Westminster College, with Greenville taking the show down in come from behind fashion, 3-2.....MORE
Blue Jays Men Headed to St. Louis to Face DePauw (November 8, 2015)
The Westminster men's soccer team drew DePauw University in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. The Westminster Blue Jays face off with DePauw on Saturday, November 14, at 7:30 pm at Washington University in St. Louis.....MORE
Westminster Women's Soccer to Face Illinois Wesleyan in First Round (November 9, 2015)
The Westminster women's soccer team drew host Illinois Wesleyan for the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. The Westminster Blue Jays will face off with Illinois Wesleyan (18-2-0) on Saturday, November 14, at 11:00 a.m. in Bloomington, Ill., in their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance.....MORE
Panthers Headed to Atlanta to Face Emory (November 9, 2015)
The Greenville women's volleyball team has been placed in the Berry regional, hosted by Berry College. The Panthers qualified for their second NCAA national tournament by winning the championship of the SLIAC tournament.....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC
Blackburn senior Steven Njuba was named to the 2015 SLIAC Men's Soccer Third Team All-Conference. Njuba, a defender, started 18 of his team's 19 games this season and tied for the team lead in goals with six including two game winners. In addition Nate Kinnison received the team's Sportsmanship Award. |
The Eureka men's soccer team had three players named to the 2015 SLIAC All-Conference team. James Bown, Brady Thomas, and Daniel Johnson all earned Third Team honors. Bowen, a forward, netted 11 goals while Thomas led the conference with 16 goals. Johnson started 15 games for the Red Devils and finished with a 2.63 goals-against average and was second in the conference with 141 saves. |
The Fontbonne volleyball team made their first SLIAC Tournament since 2009, recording 11 conference wins this season. That marks the most conference wins by a Griffins team since 2007. The Griffins fell in the first round of the tournament, finishing 13-19 overall. Junior Kersten McDonough earned First Team All-Conference honors while Madeline Stadler was named Second Team. |
Dani Pearce, a freshman on the Greenville women's soccer team, was named the 2015 SLIAC Newcomer of the Year. Pearce helped the Panthers advance to the SLIAC Tournament, recording 10 goals and 10 assists this year. She finished fourth in the conference in total points and becomes the first Panther to win the award since 2010 and the third player in program history. |

The MacMurray volleyball team finished their season with a 14-20 overall record and a 5-13 mark in the SLIAC. The Highlanders placed two players on the 2015 SLIAC All-Conference team. Senior Morgan Hauser earned Second Team honors while senior Alex Boyer was named to the Third Team. Highlander Maddie Langellier was also named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship team. |
With the basketball season starting up this week the Principia men's basketball team has already made some noise, defeating NCAA Division II Maryville University in an exhibition game. Principia held a 37-31 lead at halftime and defeated the former SLIAC member 82-81 in overtime. Principia was led freshman Adaku Anumu, who came off the bench to score 29 points while Justin Ball added 20 points. |

The Webster women's team came up short in their search for a fourth straight SLIAC Tournament title, falling in the championship game in penalty kicks. The Gorloks did finish with three players on the SLIAC All-Conference First Team; highlighted by Ashley Mess taking home Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors. She was joined on the First TEam by Lauren Pratt and Brianna Pagan. |
The Westminster men's soccer team set a SLIAC record when they had seven players named to the All-Conference First Team. Blue Jays Drew Cook, Tripp Sheehan, Eli Sherman, Tanner Touslee, Daryl Doran, Kevin Knobbe, and Raul Belman all earned First Team honors. The seven players break the previous conference mark of six players, set three times. |
Spalding's Dee Dee Sliter joined rare company when she took home her second consecutive SLIAC Women's Soccer Player of the Year award. Sliter, the 2014 and 2015 top award winner, led the conference in goals this season with 17; totaling 37 points.
