This week's list of award winners includes Emily Bay, Monica Behrle, Kate Jolliff Rosado, Clay Kelly, John Mangold, Greg Mitchell, Maddy Strickland, Katie Suiters, and Luke Summers.
SLIAC/DIAMOND SPORTS BASEBALL HITTER OF THE WEEK - APRIL 24 Clay Kelly, Spalding University Kelly, a senior from Louisville, Ky., hit .529 with three home runs and 10 runs batted in last week while leading the Golden Eagles to three wins. He had a hit in four contests including a pair of three-hit games. Kelly also drove in at least one RBI in four games, topping out with a four-RBI game against Principia. On the week Kelly finished with a .619 on-base percentage and a 1.059 slugging percentage while scoring six times. |

SLIAC/DIAMOND SPORTS BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK - APRIL 24 Luke Summers, Fontbonne University Summers, a sophomore from St. Louis, Mo., added two wins to his season record last week; moving his win total to seven games. Summers started the week with a win over #20 Spalding, working seven innings and allowing just one run while striking out three. He followed with a seven-inning victory over Iowa Wesleyan, striking out a career-high 12 in the game while holding the Tigers to just three hits. On the week he struck out 15 in 14 innings and finished with a 0.64 earned run average. |

SLIAC SOFTBALL HITTER OF THE WEEK - APRIL 24 Katie Jolliff Rosado, Greenville University Jolliff Rosado, a senior, was nearly unstoppable at the plate last week for the Panthers. She hit .667 in six games, hitting four home runs and driving in 15 while scoring 10 runs. Jolliff Rosado had multiple hits in all six games including a pair of three-hit outings. She also drove in at least one RBI in every game with a high of four against Iowa Wesleyan. On the week she finished with a .696 on-base percentage and a 1.381 slugging percentage. She also had a home run in three straight games to start the week and added four stolen bases. |

SLIAC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK - APRIL 24 Maddy Strickland, Fontbonne University Strickland, a junior from High Ridge, Mo., was a force in the circle for Fontbonne last week; recording two wins in three appearances. Her standout performance was a no-hitter against conference rival Webster, going five innings and striking out three. She also added a scoreless two innings in relief against MacMurray and picked up a win against Spalding, working seven innings while striking out five. On the week she finished with a 0.50 earned-run average and nine strikeouts in 14 innings. |

SLIAC MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - APRIL 24 Greg Mitchell, Greenville University Mitchell, a sophomore from Little Rock, Ark., tallied three top-three finishes at the Rose Hulman Twilight. He took first place in both the high jump (6'2.75") and the long jump (21'5") and added a second place finish in the triple jump (44'4.75"). |

SLIAC MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - APRIL 24 John Mangold, Greenville University Mangold, a junior from Metamora, Ill., took first place in the 3000-meter run at the Rose Hulman Twilight last weekend. His time of 8:29.47 was a school record, breaking the previous mark by three seconds, and a stadium record, breaking that mark by 12-seconds. |

SLIAC WOMEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - APRIL 24 Emily Bay, Fontbonne University Bay wins her second straight Player of the Week award after competing in five different events last weekend for the Griffins at the Mount St. Joseph Invitational. Bay had a 4th place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.40 seconds and added a 6th place finish in the 200-meter dash. She also ran in the 4x100 and 4x400 relay races and threw in the javelin competition. |

SLIAC WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - APRIL 24 Katie Suiters, Spalding University Suiters, a senior from Indianapolis, Ind., finished in the top five in three events last weekend while competing at the Bellarmine Classic. She placed 4th in both the hammer and discus and added a 5th place finish in the javelin. Suiters had a distance of 154'6" in the hammer, setting a new school record. Her distance of 116'11" in the discus was also a season best. |

SLIAC WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - APRIL 24 Monica Behrle, Webster University Behrle ends her season in the same way as starting it, by being named the SLIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week. Behrle went undefeated on the week, recording a pair of conference wins against Principia. She blanked her #1 singles opponent 6-0, 6-0 and then followed with an 8-1 win at #1 doubles along with teammate Madison Watts. The award is Behrle's fourth this season. |
