Christina Speer

Christina Speer, a former two-sport start at Principia College, made an impact on both the volleyball and basketball programs during her time from 2005-09. Speer is the first student-athlete to be selected to the SLIAC Hall of Fame by a unanimous vote. On the volleyball court Speer remains the only student-athlete to earn Conference Player of the Year three times (2006, 2007 and 2008). In addition Speer is just one of three players to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America honors and is the only player to have been a First Team selection.

In addition, Speer was named First Team All-Conference all four years as well as Newcomer of the Year. Speer led the nation in kills per set as a senior, averaging 4.86 per set, and finished her career with seven school records. Not to be outdone Speer shined on the basketball court as well where she is the conference leader in points scored by a women's basketball player with 1,688 career points. Speer was named to the women's basketball All-Conference team four times and holds five school records.
