FULTON, Mo. - The baseball team split a doubleheader at Westminster on Wednesday. Greenville won game one by a 6-4 score and lost the nightcap 19-8.

The Panthers set the tone in the first inning of game one with a run in the first inning. Greenville had two runners on base when the shortstop committed an error on a ball hit by Andrew Torbeck, and Adam Lamb crossed home safely.

Westminster received a solo home run in the bottom of the first.

In the top of the third, Sam Hodges launched a solo home run, and Clarence Falls connected for a three-run homer.

Klaiton Wolff homered in the fourth inning to make it a 6-1 game.

The Blue Jays got two runs in the fifth and one in the seventh.

Jonah Moore started on the mound and went 4.2 innings to gain his third win of the season. He allowed three runs, one earned, on four hits and struck out six. Austin Rexroad allowed one run over 1.1 innings, and Wolff came into the game to earn his seventh save.

The scoring for game two started for the Panthers in the top of the third with Ryan Taylor's three run home run, but the Blue Jays posted five in the bottom of the third.

Greenville received three more runs in the top of the fourth when Mark Islas and Lamb knocked RBI singles, and Wolff hit a sacrifice fly.

The Blue Jays added seven runs in the fourth and sixth innings, and the Panthers got a two-run home run from Tucker Rappe in the top of the seventh.

Logan Murphy went 3.1 innings as GU's starting pitcher, allowing nine runs, six earned, on four hits. He hit two batters.

Cole Becker allowed three runs in two-thirds of an inning, and Parker Lutz was reached for five runs, four earned, in 1.1 innings.

Jacob Cutter ended the game with two-thirds of an innings and two unearned runs.

The Panthers (19-8, 11-1 SLIAC) host MacMurray in a doubleheader at 5 p.m. Saturday.
