Women's basketball sends out seniors with 83-50 win over Blackburn

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's basketball team controlled Saturday's game from start to finish in an 83-50 win over Blackburn.

Prior to the game, the program honored seniors Madelyn Stephen, Emily Reinneck, Abigail Reinneck, Ally Cantrill, and Mikayla Bundren for their commitment to Panther women's basketball.

Greenville led 28-17 after the first quarter and held a 45-26 lead at halftime.

After the third quarter, Greenville was on top 63-40, and the Panthers added 10 points to the lead in the fourth quarter with a 20-10 final frame.

Greenville's balance scoring attack was led by reserves Savana Powell-Goodman with 14 points and Carolina Hoffman with 13 points.

GU's starting unit was led by E. Reinneck with 12 points.

The ability to pass the basketball defined this group of seniors, and Saturday's game featured 25 assists on their 32 made field goal attempts.

Cantrill was the Panther leader with seven assists, and E. Reinneck had five assists.

Powell-Goodman led the Panthers with four steals and seven rebounds. Cantrill, E. Reinneck, and Mia deJesus each had three steals.

The Panthers (16-7, 9-3 SLIAC) travel to Spalding for a game on Wednesday night.
