Men's Basketball Falls To Wisconsin-Oshkosh In NCAA Tournament First Round

Brent Wagner led the Griffins with 11 points. Elijah Rice and Ethan Chartrand both finished with eight. Will Suellentrop, Caden Clark, and Jaden Betton had six points each.
In the first half, the Griffins were right there with the Titans trailing 12-10 at the 14:40 mark on Brent Wagner's jumper.
Later, the Griffins got a layup from Jaden Betton trimming the deficit to 24-19. However, the Titans went on a 9-0 run over the next three minutes stretching the advantage out to 14.
UW-Oshkosh maintained its double-digit lead the rest of the way going into the locker room on top, 45-27.
The Griffins shot 38.2 percent from the floor in the first, while the Titans hit 48.6 percent of its attempts. Levi Borchert led all scorers with a double-double having 10 points and 12 rebounds.
In the second half, the Titans outscored Fontbonne 41-31 shooting 46.4 percent from the floor as they went on for the 28-point win.
Fontbonne finished shooting 36.1 percent from the field. UW-Oshkosh shot 47.6 percent from the field and hit 12 three-pointers. The Titans also won the battle on the boards having a 47-29 advantage.
The Griffins finish its season 16-12 overall and 10-4 in the SLIAC. Fontbonne won the SLIAC Regular Season Title for the second straight season being Co-Champions with Webster. The Griffins also earned its first SLIAC Tournament Championship since 2009.
