Women's basketball falls at William Woods

FULTON, Mo. - The women's basketball team was handed a 71-58 defeat at William Woods on Saturday.

The Panthers could not recover from a first quarter deficit of 20-9 and trailed 32-19 at halftime.

William Woods expanded the lead to 55-30 at the end of three periods, and GU outscored WWU 28-16 in the final period to conclude with a final deficit of 13 points.

Emily Reinneck was Greenville's top scorer with 12 points on 4-of-10 shooting from the field, including a mark of 2-of-5 behind the three-point line, and 2-of-2 free throws.

Hannah Krukewitt ended with 11 points, and Madelyn Stephen added 10 points.

Greenville's Clarissa Duebel was top rebounder with six caroms.

Lauren Eagleson managed to pass out five assists.

The Panthers (1-3) travel to Lincoln Christian for a game on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
