Women's Volleyball Sweeps Past Eureka For Second Straight Win

The Basics
Set 1: After Eureka tied it 3-3, the Griffins went on a 6-0 run with Lizzy Harvey's kill giving Fontbonne a 9-3 advantage. The Griffins were well in control the rest of the way totaling 16 kills and a match-high .355 hitting percentage in the 25-14 win.
Set 2: The Red Devils opened with a 6-2 lead in the second, however, the Griffins responded with a 6-0 run with a block assist from Jackie Drury and Jadyn Fitzgerald putting Fontbonne on top, 9-7.
Later, the Red Devils cut the deficit down to 17-16 but Fontbonne answered with a 3-0 run and were able to finish off Eureka for the 25-19 win. The Griffins totaled a match-high 18 kills in the second set.
Set 3: It was a back-and-forth contest in the third, though the Griffins put distance between themselves and Eureka leading 19-12.
Fontbonne looked to be in control at 23-16 but the Red Devils went on a 5-0 run to trim the advantage down to 23-21. The Griffins were able to close out the match as they got a kill and an ace from Hannah Gallagher for the 25-21 victory.
Fontbonne Leaders
- The Griffins ended with 46 kills and a season-high .233 hitting percentage.
- Fitzgerald led with her 12th career double-double totaling 14 kills and 13 digs. Her .464 hitting percentage was a career-high.
- Jordan Harpel tied her season-high with seven kills and set a new season-high with a .545 hitting percentage.
- Kelly Herr, Lizzy Harvey, and Jackie Drury had four kills.
- Hannah Gallagher made her return to the lineup finishing with three kills and six digs.
- Ella Werner-Click continued to fill up the stat sheet with 41 assists, three kills and three digs.
- Emma Pramik led with 18 digs.

The Griffins host a tri-match on Saturday when they'll take on Principia at 11 a.m., followed by Westminster at 3 p.m.
