Westminster Women's Soccer Plays Webster to Scoreless Tie

FENTON, Mo. – The Westminster women's soccer team tied regionally ranked Webster 0-0 on Wednesday night. The tie ended a four game winning streak for Webster. The Blue Jays are now to 2-8-2 overall and 2-1-1 in conference.

Westminster was outshot by the Gorloks in the first half 7-2. Westminster goalie Sarah Cradick made six saves in the half to keep the Blue Jays in the game.

The Blue Jays doubled their shot total in the second half registering four shots.

Webster added four more shots on goal in the first overtime period but Cradick stopped each one and finished the period with four saves. She added another save in the second overtime period and the matched ended in the 0-0 draw.

Madison Ekern and Natalie Schulte led the Westminster offense with two shots each. Cradick played all 110 minutes in goal and made 15 saves. The Gorloks came into the game averaging 4.33 goals per game.

The Blue Jays will return home to play Blackburn on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
