THE BASICS
Greenville, Ill. – Greenville University had a big second quarter to upend the Eagles 62-48 Tuesday in Illinois. After leading 18-17 to close out the first quarter, Greenville outscored the Eagles 14-5 in the second quarter to hold a 32-22 halftime lead. The Eagles trimmed the deficit to 32-31 with 6:51 left in the third quarter, but couldn't get any closer. The Eagles suffered 27 turnovers in the game and no Eagle reached double figures in scoring. Judy Forbes helped the Eagles outrebound Greenville 47-32. Forbes pulled down 18 boards. Makya Perryman and Reagen Markham scored nine points each.
