GREENVILLE, ILL. — The Eureka volleyball team took on St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent Greenville Friday night and dropped in three straight sets, 25-11, 25-16, 25-18.

The Red Devils' offense couldn't get rolling, falling to 5-19 on the season and 4-9 in league play.

Sara Worrell (Jacksonville, Ill./Routt Catholic) recorded 19 of the Red Devils' 21 assists while contributing 11 digs.

Megan Masching (Pontiac, Ill./Pontiac Township) had 15 digs, while Ariel Campbell (Decatur, Ill/Cerro Gordo) chipped in eight.

Greenville took command of the match from the first set and never looked back.

The third and final set was the most competitive out of the three for the Red Devils, jumping out to an early 4-3 lead. The Panthers then found a rhythm taking a 13-7 advantage, then closed out the set for the sweep.

Eureka (5-19,4-9 SLIAC) will return home to Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center on Wednesday at 6 p.m. when they take on another conference foe Westminster (Mo.).
