The Basics
Set 1: In the first, a kill from Jadyn Fitzgerald had Fontbonne down 12-11. The Golden Eagles answered with a 5-0 run capped off by Mckenna Short's kill for the 17-11 lead. It was all Spalding the rest of the way going on for the opening set win, 25-17.
Set 2: In the second set, the Griffins took control with an 11-7 lead on Hannah Gallagher's kill. The two teams went point-for-point after Spalding regained a 16-15 advantage.
Tied 19-19, the Golden Eagles took a 20-19 lead on a Fontbonne attack error and never looked back hanging on for the 25-23 victory on Short's kill.
Offensively, Fontbonne had a strong second set with 12 kills and a .321 hitting percentage. Gallagher led with four kills, while Kristen Kaempfe contributed three.
Set 3: The Golden Eagles were on top 17-12 midway through the third on Gianna Fondren's kill. Then, Fontbonne answered with a with a 7-1 run with Fitzgerald's kill giving them a 19-18 lead.
After trailing 17-12, the Griffins closed out the set on a 13-4 run with consecutive kills from Kaempfe keeping Fontbonne alive with the 25-21 win.
It was another impressive offensive performance in the third by Fontbonne with 16 kills and a .314 hitting percentage. Fitzgerald led with six kills, while Kaempfe had five and Gallagher finished with four.
Set 4: The Griffins hoped to carry that momentum over into the fourth, however, the Golden Eagles took a commanding 17-6 lead. That advantage proved to be more than enough with Spalding cruising to the 25-13 set and match win.

- Fontbonne finished with 43 kills and a .148 hitting percentage.
- Hannah Gallagher earned double-double No. 10 in her career with 11 kills and 10 digs.
- Kristen Kaempfe set a new season-high offensively with 11 kills and a .320 hitting percentage.
- Jadyn Fitzgerald finished with 10 kills, while Jordan Harpel added five kills to go along with her .312 hitting percentage.
- Ella Werner-Click finished with 32 assists and a season-high eight digs.
- Defensively, the Griffins were led by Emma Pramik's career-high 27 digs.
