GALLATIN, TN – The Webster women's basketball team posted their seventh straight win with an 86-75 victory over Penn State Behrend in the Music City Classic held at Welch College on Friday.

* The Gorloks managed to snap the Lions seven-game winning streak while improving their own
* Behrend grabbed a 12-7 lead after the first five minutes of the game
* Webster answered with a 11-4 run for an 18-16 lead heading into the second quarter
* The Gorloks ended the half on a 16-7 run for a nine-point lead at the break
* Even though Webster only had a two-point scoring advantage in the second half, the late Lions heroics were halted down the stretch

* Madilyn Boyer (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) tied Altavilla with 16 points and managed seven rebounds with two blocks
* Boyer and Altavilla were joined by Brianna Dean (New Castle, PA/Neshannock) and Rachel Majewski (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) in double-digit points
* Majewski recorded 13 points and a team-best five assists while Dean posted 12 points and eight rebounds
* Behrend shot 45.7 percent from the floor and 72.7 percent from free-throw line
