Women's basketball routs Blackburn 96-47

CARLINVILLE, Ill. - The women's basketball team dominated Blackburn in a 96-47 decision on Saturday. Savana Powell-Goodman led the Panthers with 16 points. The Panthers received scoring from all 16 players on the roster in the win.

The Panthers led 22-12 after the first quarter and 47-20 at halftime.

After the third quarter, the score stood at 73-32, and GU outscored Blackburn 23-15 in the fourth quarter.

Emily Reinneck was Greenville's second leading scorer with 12 points, and seven players posted six or seven points in the game.

Carolina Hoffman distributed a team-high nine assists, and Powell-Goodman provided five steals as Greenville forced 28 turnovers.

Reinneck was GU's top rebounder with six in the game.

The Panthers (12-5, 5-1 SLIAC) will face Spalding on Thursday in H.J. Long Gymnasium.
