Fitzgerald Ties Season-High With 18 Kills In Win Over Eureka

The Basics
Set 1: In the first set, the Griffins led 13-8 on a Red Devils attack error. They expanded it out to 22-13 and cruised to the 25-17 opening win.
Set 2: The Griffins led 12-10, however, the Red Devils went on a 4-0 run leading by two. Eureka led 23-20 and despite the Griffins getting a kill from Kristen Kaempfe trimming the deficit down to 24-22, the Red Devils fended off Fontbonne for the 25-22 victory.
Fontbonne posted 13 kills and a .149 hitting percentage in the second with Jadyn Fitzgerald leading with six kills on 16 swings. Eureka played its best set of the night with 10 kills and a .265 hitting percentage.
Set 3: The Griffins dominated the third set from start-to-finish leading 12-3 on a Eureka ball handling error. With the Griffins posting 11 kills and a match-high .381 hitting percentage they went for the 25-7 win.
Fitzgerald led with three kills, while Jordan Harpel, Kaempfe, Jackie Drury, and Hannah Gallagher had two kills each.
Set 4: A double block from Fitzgerald and Drury gave Fontbonne a 9-6 lead. From there, the Griffins went on an 8-3 run and put away the Red Devils for the 25-17 match win.
Fontbonne Leaders
- The Griffins finished with 51 kills and a .224 hitting percentage.
- Fitzgerald led tying her season-high with 18 kills and a .415 hitting percentage.
- Gallagher added seven kills, while Kelly Herr finished with six and a .312 hitting percentage.
- Ella Werner-Click contributed 40 assists and nine digs.
- Emma Pramik led with 17 digs.
