The Lake Forest College women's tennis team defeated Greenville University 6-3 in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, on Monday.
The Foresters began the contest by taking all three doubles matches by the same 8-4 score. Junior Margaret Bugnacki and freshman Rebecca Daskal played at #1, sophomore Sara Lopez and freshman Libby Moog competed at #2, and sophomore Emily Bross teamed up with senior Kelsey Akins at #3.
Bugnacki took both sets 6-4 at the top spot in the singles lineup and, after Greenville earned the point at #2, Moog finished off a 6-3, 7-6 (9-7) triumph at #3 to clinch the match. Daskal added a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 win at #4.
The victory was the Foresters' 10th in 16 contests this season. Greenville fell to 3-7.
Lake Forest will continue its Spring Break trip on Tuesday with a 4:00 p.m. (ET) match-up with Dickinson College.
