Women's volleyball gets back on track with win at Principia

ELSAH, Ill. -- After facing nationally ranked Washington - St. Louis and SLIAC leader Westminster last week, the women's volleyball team encountered two of their season's most talented opponents.  The Lady Panthers got back on track Tuesday night with a brisk three game win over Principia.

Greenville's attack was the best it's been all season as the Lady Panthers hit at a rate of .318 in their 25-21, 25-12, 25-11 victory.

Sierah Ruffner posted a .474 hitting percentage as she collected nine kills in 19 attempts at the middle position.

Allyson Mitchell led the team with 10 kills, and Savannah Sells had nine kills.

Kirsten Laune directed the offense with 32 assists.

The Greenville defense came up with 60 digs and 11 block assists.

Laune produced 16 digs, and Mitchell collected 14 digs.

Brittni Bell and Sells had three block assists.

The Lady Panthers (11-3, 7-1 SLIAC) host Webster at 7 p.m. on Thursday night.
