How It Happened
After taking a 2-0 lead in the top of the second, the Anchormen put the game away in the fourth. With two on and nobody out, the Anchormen got an RBI single from Rommy Morel to make it a 3-0 game.
Nick D'Ambra followed two batters later with a single to right to plate two runners and extend the advantage out to 5-0. Then, with the bases loaded, Josh Willette belted a grand slam to make it a 9-0 game.
They tacked on two more in the sixth to lead 11-0. Fontbonne got on the board in the bottom of the seventh with Chase Jones RBI single bringing home Thomas Purschke, who led off with a single, but that'd be final run of the inning with Rhode Island College going on for the mercy-run rule win.
