Women's basketball rolls in 40 point win at MacMurray

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The women's basketball evened their season record at .500 with a dominating 88-48 win at MacMurray on Wednesday night.

The Panthers received six points from Emily Reinneck in the first quarter and led 21-8 after the first period before getting five points from Hannah Krukewitt and Haven Robertson in a 27 point second quarter.

Greenville held a 48-17 lead at the intermission.

In the third quarter, Greenville extended their lead to 69-36 with a 21-19 frame, and the Panthers outpaced the Highlanders 19-12 in the final period.

In the win, Greenville featured five players that scored 12 or more points.

Krukewitt was the top scorer with 16 points, and Madelyn Stephen and Robertson each ended with 13 points.

Reinneck and Brittany Lopez added 12 points each.

Krukewitt completed a double-double in the contest with 12 rebounds, and she was the team leader with six assists.

Lopez managed to collect a team-high three steals.

The Panthers (6-6, 3-2 SLIAC) return home on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game against Iowa Wesleyan.
