Fleming, Keating, Ralls, Uhrich Named ABCA/Rawlings To All-America Team

Josh Fleming, Jimi Keating, Travis Ralls, and Kyle Uhrich were all named to the 2017 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III Baseball All-America Team. The quartet sets a new high for St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference players on the ABCA/Rawlings All-America team, surpassing the previous mark of three in the 2013 season.

In addition, Fleming and Keating become the first SLIAC players to earn First Team honors since Stefan Neece, from Greenville College, and Will Savage, from Webster University, were named First Team in 2010. Joining Fleming and Keating on the All-America teams are Greenville College's Travis Ralls and Webster's Kyle Uhrich.

Fleming becomes just the second player from Webster to make the ABCA/Rawlings First Team, joining the aforementioned Savage. Fleming was 8-1 with a NCAA III-leading 0.68 earned run average and 115 strikeouts for the season.

Kyle Uhrich, a senior utility player from Webster, earned his second career selection to the Second Team, also being named in 2015, and becomes the first Gorlok to make the All-America Team two different years.  He was a dual threat for Webster by posting a 7-3 record with a 2.29 ERA and 90 strikeouts on the mound, and batting .288 with 12 doubles, four triples, six home runs, and 30 RBIs.

Keating, from Bardstown, Ky., finished the regular season leading NCAA Division III in wins with 11 on the season. The right-hander also led the nation in strikeouts fanning 124 batters over 100 innings, while holding a 1.62 earned runs average. He averaged 11.16 strikeouts per game and walked just 10 batters this spring ranking third in the nation in strikeout- to-walk ratio. The junior held opposing hitters to a .186 batting average and finished the season ranked third nationally in WHIP at 0.77.

Ralls, a junior catcher, was named All-America Second Team after leading the Panthers to a SLIAC Tournament title. He hit .384 this year with nine home runs and 45 runs batted in while being named the conference Player of the Year.
