The Principia College and Webster University men's basketball teams were honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches for their success in the classroom during the 2015-16 season.
Zimmerman Named Principia Head Men's Basketball Coach

Principia College is pleased to announce that Todd Zimmerman has been named the new Head Men's Basketball coach. After Mike Bushong announced his retirement and a nationwide search began for the next Principia College Men's Basketball coach, Todd stepped in as the interim coach for the remainder of the year.
Tigers Honor Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees and Award Winners

Iowa Wesleyan inducted three members into the Athletic Hall of Fame for the class of 2016. Harold Tackleson '31 (posthumously), Cathy Borck Frahm '86, and Don Grensing '52 were inducted at the April 15, 2016 Athletic Hall of Fame and Awards Ceremony in Ruble Arena.

The Westminster men's basketball season comes to a close in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament with a loss to the number one team in the nation, Augustana College. The 105-52 loss ends the season with a 12-16 record while Augustana extends their record to 27-1.

Westminster Draws #1 Augustana in First Round

The Westminster men's basketball team drew number one nationally ranked Augustana College (Ill.) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Westminster Blue Jays face off with host Augustana on Friday, March 4, at 8:00 p.m. in Rock Island, Illinois. This is the Blue Jay's fourth NCAA Tournament appearance.

The Westminster men's basketball team is NCAA Tournament bound after winning the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Tournament. The Westminster Blue Jays defeated Spalding in the championship game on Saturday afternoon, 61-59, naming them the SLIAC Tournament Champions for the fourth time in program history.

The Spalding University men's basketball team defeated top-seeded MacMurray College 74-60. The win saw the Golden Eagles improve to 13-13 as they advance to the SLIAC championship. The loss dropped MacMurray to 15-12 to end their season.

The Westminster men's basketball team advances to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Championship game after Thursday's 101-83 win over Greenville College in the SLIAC Semifinals. The Westminster Blue Jays entered the tournament as the number three seed. They knocked out Greenville, the number two seed, after holding them to a season low 83 points.

Deavis Johnson is the 2015-16 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year, making it three different Highlanders in the last three years to take home the league's top award. Greenville's Dr. George Barber and Eureka's Shea Feehan also received top conference honors.
