Men's golf gears up for NCAA Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University men's golf team is off to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete in the 2015 NCAA National Championships May 12-15 at the Grandover Resort. This marks Spalding's second trip to the national tournament in the past three seasons. The Eagles last trip was in 2013 when they placed 25th overall.

The Golden Eagles punched their ticket to this seasons national championships by winning the SLIAC Championship to earn the conference's automatic bid. SU comes into the tournament having placed inside the top-five in eight of the ten tournaments they have played over the fall and spring season, including wins at Benedictine, the SLIAC Championships, and a head-to-head win over NCAA Division II opponent Bellarmine.

Spalding will be grouped with No. 2 Oglethorpe and No. 16 La Verne for the first two rounds. The Eagles will tee off at noon from the 10th tee on the West Course in Tuesday's opening round. On Wednesday, SU will have a 7:35 am tee time starting from the first tee on the East Course.
