Iowa Wesleyan First In Fall Invite

Iowa Wesleyan held their 2016 Fall Invitational on Wednesday, taking first place out of a field of eight teams that included three other St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference schools. This marks the second consecutive event the Tigers have taken first place.

Iowa Wesleyan shot a team score of 308 in the one round event, seven strokes better than the second place finishing team William Penn University. Michael Neff paced the Tigers with a 74, two over par, and took the individual title. Bo Vitale tied for 3rd overall with a 76 while Blake Forsythe gave the Tigers three top five finishers by shooting a 77. Kiley Miller shot an 81 to tie for 14th while Connor McLean shot an 83 and tied for 18th.

Blackburn College finished in 3rd place with a team score of 323 as Kyle Kesinger led the way with a 76, tying for third. Trenton Easley and Keegan Easley each shot an 82 while Anthony Harper and Matt Liddell tied for 18th with an 83.

MacMurray College finished fourth as a team with a 324 as Jacob Hierlmeier shot a 77 to tie for 5th overall. Zach Koonce took 8th place with a 78 while Caleb Burk tied for 22nd with an 84. Keegan Potter shot an 85 and Drew Berwinkel shot a 92 to round out the Highlanders scoring.

Eureka College rounded out the SLIAC teams in the field by placing 5th with a team score of 343. Tyler Nelson led the Red Devils with an 81, finishing 14th overall. Alex Shanley shot an 85, Koby White an 86, Caleb Ingles a 91, and Cade Fawcett a 94 to wrap up the scoring.
