Spalding 5th at Greater Louisville Classic
With less than a month left before the conference invitational the Spalding University men's cross country team beat out three other St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams to place 5th in the Greater Louisville Classic.
Spalding took 5th place out of 42 programs in the field Brandon Price leading the way, placing 6th with a time of 26:04. Spalding's team finished with a time of 2:15:47, averaging 27:09 among their runners. The Westminster team finished 26th with a total time of 2:25:54. The Blue Jays were paced by Jesse Edwards' time of 26:36, placing 26th overall. Webster completed the course in a team time of 2:23:28, with Riley Flynn finishing 34th overall with a time of 26:58. Fontbonne, who did not have enough eligible runners for a team score, was led by Christian Sellars' finishing 184th with a time of 29:16.
