Three Tigers Earn USCAA All-American Honors

Iowa Wesleyan had three players receive USCAA All-American honors.  Baseball had one member receive honors and the USCAA announced the award on May 9, 2016 at the championship banquet. The Iowa Wesleyan softball had two players earn the All-American honors for their performances this year, and the USCAA announced the awards on May 15, 2016 at the softball championship banquet.

Tanner Anderson (JR/Vermillion, SD) received USCAA Honorable Mention All-American honors for his efforts on the field this season.  Anderson batted .326 for the Tigers this season and led the team with 40 hits.  He was a perfect 16-16 on stolen base attempts and finished second on the team in runs batted in on the year.

The softball team had two players receive First Team All-American honors this season.  Kennedy Vinchattle (SO/Boone, IA) and Michaela Brewer (FR/Nevada, MO) both earned the honors in their debut season with Iowa Wesleyan.

Kennedy Vinchattle had a great season for the Tigers.  She led the team with a .439 batting average and nine home runs on the season.  Vinchattle's slugging percentage this year was a .763 as she drove in 42 RBIs for IW.  She recorded 87 total bases, which was 27 more than any other member of the Tigers this season.

Michaela Brewer also had a strong year for Iowa Wesleyan.  In 37 games for IW, she had a .351 batting average and had a team high 14 doubles. Brewer ended the year with 60 total bases and had a slugging percentage of .526 after knocking in 16 runs for the Tigers.
