Burnell Tabbed As 2018 Preseason All-American

Blackburn College's Danielle Burnell has been tabbed as a 2018 Preseason All-American by Fastpitch News. Burnell, a senior outfielder, was named to the Second Team and was the only player from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference to receive the honor.

Burnell, from Lapel, Ind., hit .432 with 3 home runs and 33 runs batted in last season. She added 12 doubles and held a .509 on-base percentage and a .670 slugging percentage while finishing with 26 runs scored. Burnell ranked in the top five among all conference players in doubles, batting average, and on-base percentage. 

Burnell was named a First Team All-Conference member last season and begins her 2018 season on March 2 with a game against Crowley's Ridge.
