Webster's Holman Gives Helping Hand In Honduras

Webster University basketball player Chelsea Holman is spending part of her summer on a mission trip at the Helping Hands Academy in Roatan, Honduras. Holman (SR, Decherd, TN/Franklin County HS) is helping to teach children at the Academy and aiding the local community at large.

The outcome may not have been what the Tigers were hoping for, but they battled the entire game and never gave up. Iowa Wesleyan's late comeback came up short, and they fell 65-72 to the Hornets.

The Tigers took on Rochester College in the semifinal round of the USCAA National Basketball Championships this afternoon. This was the first time Iowa Wesleyan had made it past the first round of the tournament. In the two previous trips to the USCAA National Tournament, the team lost their first round game. Iowa Wesleyan used a big first quarter and balanced scoring throughout the game to defeat the Warriors of Rochester College 74-60 and advance to the championship game.
