Thompson and Red Devils To Hold Summer Camp
Third-year Eureka College women's basketball head coach Steve Thompson, along with former EC basketball players and current student-athletes, will host three different girls basketball camps this summer inside the Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center. The camp circuit will include a Girls Youth Camp from June 20-24, Girls Individual Skills Camp over the same dates and Girls Advanced Skills Camp from July 8-10.
The Girls Youth Camp is open to girls entering first through fifth grades and will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 20th and run until 11:30 a.m. The camp continues that time schedule throughout the week, concluding on Friday.
The Individual Skills Camp will also start on Monday, June 20th and is open to girls entering sixth through 9th grades. The camp will run from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. daily until Friday. Cost of the youth camp is $50 per camper, while the individual camp is $125 per camper.
Both camps include instruction by EC coaches, former players and student-athletes, camp t-shirt, and promises to be five days of fun for your daughter.
The Advanced Skills Camp will be a weekend overnight camp for high school female athletes entering their freshman through senior year. Registration begins at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 8th with checkout at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 10th. Cost of the camp is $175 per camper. The fee includes instruction by EC coaches, former players and student-athletes, camp t-shirt, 1-on-1, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 challenges, film breakdown of different skills, and a special strength and conditioning session hosted by our certified strength and conditioning coaches.
Coaches will include at least four former Eureka College women basketball players, including the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and EC's all-time leading scorer, Caty Bane. Kelsey Shoemake and Emily Camden, a pair of 1,000 career point scorers, and Jenna Brooks highlight the list of camp coaches.
