Tigers Names Halfpop New Women's Soccer Head Coach
Kyle Halfpop begins his head coaching career with the Tigers after spending the last two years as the Academy Director and a coach in the Dakota Alliance Soccer Club (DASC). He brings NCAA Division III experience with him as he was previously an assistant men's soccer coach at Central College for four years and the Technical Director for the Pella Soccer Club for five years before joining the DASC. Halfpop currently holds a USSF National "D" license.
In his undergraduate education, Halfpop attended Central College (Pella, IA) and majored in Communication Studies. He was a four year member of the soccer team and earned Central College MVP honors in 2003 and 2004. Halfpop was also a team captain in 2003 and 2004 for the Dutch. In his college playing career, he earned IIAC First Team All-Conference honors three years in a row and was named Second Team All-West Region in his senior year.
Halfpop completed his master's degree in Sport Management from California University of Pennsylvania in 2014. Currently, he is working towards his Ph. D. in Performance Psychology at Grand Canyon University.

They both have new and fresh ideas for Iowa Wesleyan, and that falls in line with what I have in mind for the Women's Soccer Program. I am looking to build a program and the culture of soccer here that everyone at Iowa Wesleyan can be proud to be a part of."
Halfpop is a native of Urbandale, IA and currently resides in Mt. Pleasant.
