The Division III Ethnic Minority Grant is geared toward increasing diversity in all divisions of the NCAA, and this is the first year that the Division III Ethnic Minority Grants are allowing student-athletes to attend the convention. Pohtos is one of just 43 student-athletes selected to participate in the pilot program and attend the annual convention via the grant. The student-athletes will participate in multiple forums throughout the three day period.

"This convention will allow me to expand my network and essentially create relationships with individuals who have already achiveved great potential in athletic administration," stated Pohtos. "It will provide me with opportunities to surround myself with many successful people, all a part of different levels of college sports. I hope the diverse environment will have an extremely positive and valuable impact on me."

Pohtos is a four-year member of the women's soccer team and is currently the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) President. She will graduate this May with a self-designed major in organizational leadership.
