Women's Soccer Downs #14 Lake Forest, 2-1

Box Score Led by a pair of Chelsea Noser goals, the Webster University women's soccer team defeated #14 ranked Lake Forest College, 2-1, at the Soccer Park on September 11.

Noser (FR, Collinsville, IL/Collinsville HS) corralled a cross by Kelsey Hausmann (SO, St. Louis, MO/Mehlville HS) at 87:42 in the second half, and guided it in the net with her left foot to clinch the upset for the Gorloks.

Noser had scored her second goal of the season to give the Gorloks at 1-0 lead at the 6:30 mark in the first half.  Noser is playing her first season with Webster after having to sit out 2014 due to injury.

Lake Forest wasted little time tying the score up in the second, heading a shot past Gorlok keeper Alisa Coralic (FR, St. Louis, MO/Mehlville HS) at the 46:48 mark.
Coralic battened down the hatches after that goal to shut out the Foresters the rest of the way.  She faced seven shots and had two saves as her season record improved to 2-0

The Foresters entered the game 2-0-1 and ranked 14th nationally.  The Midwest Conference member was 21-1 in 2014, winning 21 straight with their only loss coming in overtime in the second round of the NCAA III Tournament.

Webster evened its record at 2-2.  The Gorloks are back home on September 13 to face another ranked team, Augustana College (IL), who is #21 nationally.
