Busy Weekend for SLIAC Track Teams

St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's track teams met up in St. Louis over the weekend to compete in the Wash U Invite. The Principia College women's team had the highest finish in the field for a SLIAC team, placing 10th.

Principia finished with 23 team points to take 10th place in the field of 25 teams. The Panthers were dominant in the field portion of the event with Lyssa Winslow leading the way. Winslow took first in the shot put with a distance of 13.63 meters. Later in the day Winslow took second place in the hammer throw with a distance of 44.72 meters, while also placing fourth in the discus.

Greenville finished just behind Principia with 21 team points, finishing in 11th place. Chelsea Giles took third in the 200 meter race with a time of 25.72 seconds.

Webster placed 14th in the field Taylor Porter finished second in the 100 meter race with a time of 12.96 seconds.

Fontbonne took 22nd and Westminster finished in 25th place. For complete results of the event click HERE
