Eureka Volleyball Visits Local YWCA

Last night the Eureka College  volleyball team visited the YWCA in Bloomington, IL. YWCA was hosting "Lights after School," giving parents the opportunity for their children to interact with YWCA staff and volunteers while parents had the opportunities to listen and ask questions to state Representative about the budget cut that are taking place.

The volleyball team has also severed around the college helping with grounds work, severing dinner at the Peoria Rescue Mission and at Maple Lawn here in Eureka. "We enjoy taking days off from practice to give back to the community," head volleyball coach Jess Brown said.

The Young Women's Christian Association was founded with proud roots in the Christian tradition. Over the years, the organization broadened its outreach and services to women and families of all faith traditions and backgrounds. For this reason, associations in the United States have become simply known as 'YWCA".

Learn. Serve. Lead. Eureka College initiates transformational growth in all students through a diverse range of learning opportunities in a highly personalized setting, equipping our graduates to be engaged citizens and servant leaders.
